The Environment Education Programme (EEP) is an initiative of the Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change, Government of India for strengthening non formal environment education activities across the country. It is a component of the Central Sector scheme " Environment Education, Awareness, Research and Skill Development (EEARSD)" that intends to leverage on the key sectoral strength of Eco-clubs already formed under National Green Corps programme, in addition to targeting Youth Clubs and other such clubs/ units/ groups formed under various programmes/ schemes of the Government. The EEP is being implemented w.e.f the year 2022.
